As a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment since 1950, the Friedrich brand was orginally started in 1883. Friedrich PTACs have long been known for being feature-rich and backed by an AC-focused manufacturer. Their new models build on those strengths. Featuring advanced engineering, Friedrich PTACs have impressively quiet performance and expanded comfort settings.

Friedrich PTACs have a two-motor design, one motor inside, one outside. This enables the indoor motor to run at lower speeds, which greatly reduces indoor sound levels.

Additionally, the motors are permanently lubricated, resulting in quieter operation and increased durability. The 3-speed fan (on cooling and heating modes) has close to five times the surface area of an ordinary PTAC fan, providing more uniform airflow over a wider path.

This results in faster, quieter airflow, and more even air distribution. Unlike it's competitors, all Friedrich PTACs come standard with Diamonblue corrosion protection for costal areas. Friedrich PTACs feature one of the best warranties in the industry, 2 years on the whole unit, 5 years on the sealed refrigeration system and compressor.
